GRANT REQUESTS

United WayGrant Deadline: Friday, March 29, 2013, Midnight
Award letters Sent No Later Than: Friday, May 31, 2013
First allocation: May 2013
Second allocation, December 2013

We will accept the most current version of the Colorado Common Grant Application (see link below); however, applicants are required to include only the following elements of that application:

1) Summary Sheet
2) Narrative
3) Financial Budget
4) Current Financial Statement
5) Proof of IRS federal tax-exempt status
6) Current Charitable Solicitations Number

Submit your application and all other documents – in PDF format sent by email – to unitedway@sopris.net. If you have the ability to provide a single PDF document with all documents merged, that is ideal, but not an absolute requirement. DO NOT SNAIL MAIL YOUR APPLICATION!

Once we receive your application, we will send you a confirmation email within 24 hours. If you have not received a conformation email within that timeframe, please call our office: 970-625-8189.

Please remember that only nonprofits serving the Garfield County population will be considered.

The Colorado Common Grant Report also will be due for all 2012 grant recipients by Friday, March 29, 2013. If you are reapplying for a grant, you do not need to submit financial attachments with the 2012 report if they will be the same as for the new (2013) grant application.

You may send this completed 2012 grant report with your new (2013) grant application or earlier. Agencies that do not complete the report will not be eligible to reapply for the next grant cycle.
